"Claimed 'Lowest Price Nationwide, No.1 in Satisfaction'... Lozan Mover and Chakhan Mover Sanctioned for False Advertising"
Moving service companies that have deceived consumers by pretending to be the most affordable in the industry and inflated their user numbers in false advertising will be subject to sanctions by the Korea Fair Trade Commission.
On the 29th, the Korea Fair Trade Commission announced that it would impose corrective orders and public announcement orders, as well as administrative fines of 132 million won on Chakhan Mover and 87 million won on Lozan Mover, for violating the Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising (Fair Labeling and Advertising Act).
From January 1, 2021, to May 14, 2026, Lozan Mover used phrases such as "Korea's No.1 Moving Brand" and "No.1 in Korea’s Quality Satisfaction" on its website and in search platform ads, leading consumers to believe the company had been objectively recognized for its quality.
Although these phrases simply referred to awards received by Lozan Mover from certain organizations, the company did not provide information on the awarding institution, evaluation criteria, or the manner in which the award was received on its advertisement screens.
From October 2, 2024, to April 6 of this year, Chakhan Mover ran search platform ads stating "Millions have used nationwide" and "Cumulative customers in 2026: millions," greatly exaggerating the actual number of users of its moving services and falsely presenting these figures as if they reflected reality.
Lozan Mover also falsely advertised the number of moving quote requests on its website between January 1, 2021, and this past May, using phrases such as "A happy choice for XX customers."

The Korea Fair Trade Commission stated, "The significance of this measure is that it addresses unfair advertising related to quality and business conditions—factors critical for consumers choosing a moving service provider—and thereby establishes a foundation for consumers to compare moving service companies and make reasonable choices based on accurate information."
