Seo-gu District in Gwangju Metropolitan City, Jeonnam, has begun to actively expand employment opportunities for local youth in partnership with local business Wmart Co., Ltd.
On September 28, a business agreement was signed at the Ieum Hall of the Seo-gu District Office, attended by Kim Eegang, Mayor of Seo-gu District, and Kim Sungjin, CEO of Wmart Logistics Co., Ltd. The purpose of the agreement is to expand employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for local youth and revitalize the local economy.

According to the agreement, Seo-gu District will identify local youth who possess the skills required by companies and connect job seekers with businesses through employment support programs. Wmart Co., Ltd. will collaborate by sharing its workforce needs and recruitment information with Seo-gu District, as well as by working together to expand opportunities for local talent to gain employment.
Kim Eegang, Mayor of Seo-gu District, said, "We will use this agreement as a stepping stone to further expand cooperation with local companies, matching them with needed talent and providing residents with real job opportunities."
