LF Officially Launches British 'Traditional Weatherwear' in Korea for the First Time
Traditional Weatherwear, a British Brand with 50 Years of Heritage, Makes Its Debut in Korea
On September 28, LF announced that it is officially importing and distributing the British heritage lifestyle brand "Traditional Weatherwear" in Korea for the first time.
Traditional Weatherwear is a brand launched in 1974 by the British outerwear company Mackintosh. Based on its expertise accumulated in making outerwear designed to withstand the ever-changing British weather, the brand has been offering quilted jackets and rainwear. It is known for combining functionality and practicality with modern silhouettes and sophisticated design.
The brand's signature product is a quilted jacket featuring a diamond pattern and a water-repellent finish. Classic details such as a corduroy collar, piping, and gold snap buttons have been added. This jacket can be used as outerwear in between seasons, as well as an inner layer during the winter.
The brand has expanded its presence not only in the UK but also in Japan through major select shops such as Beams, United Arrows, and Journal Standard.
In its debut 26FW season in Korea, LF will offer men's and women's outerwear—including quilted jackets, field jackets, and padding—as well as accessories such as umbrellas, scarves, and rain boots. Starting in 2027, the product category will expand to include knitwear, shirts, and pants.
A brand mascot designed specifically for the Korean market will also be introduced. LF has suggested a mascot based on the "Highland Cow" from Scotland's Highlands region to the main office, and it will be unveiled in Korea for the first time. Name submissions will be accepted on the official Instagram account through October 5.
Traditional Weatherwear will officially launch on the LF Mall on September 28 and operate its first pop-up store at the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch for two weeks starting October 8. The company plans to expand its offline presence primarily in major commercial areas where the 2030 customer demographic is concentrated.
