[Nagoya AG] Yang Jiin Leads Women's 25m Pistol on First Day of Qualification
Korea Leads the Team Competition
National shooting team member Yang Jiin took the lead on the first day of the women’s 25m pistol event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Yang Jiin claimed first place by scoring 292 points (with 11 X-tens) in the precision round of the women’s 25m pistol qualification held at Aichi General Shooting Range in Japan on the 27th.
Hanieh Rostamiyan (Iran) and Trinh Thu Vinh (Vietnam) both posted scores of 291 (with 13 X-tens each), but due to the last series, Rostamiyan (98 points) finished second while Trinh Thu Vinh (97 points) placed third.
Kim Hyunsuk of North Korea finished fourth with a score of 291 (with 8 X-tens).
Oh Yejin, who participated alongside Yang Jiin, ranked eighth with 289 points (15 X-tens), and Bong Seorin placed twelfth with 289 points (8 X-tens).
Combining the scores of Yang Jiin, Oh Yejin, and Bong Seorin, Korea topped the team event leaderboard with an interim total of 870 points (34 X-tens), two points ahead of China (868 points).
