According to fire authorities on September 27, at around 10:18 a.m. the previous day, a fire occurred on the second floor of a four-story multi-family residence in Gusan-dong, Eunpyeong District. A resident in their 70s was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest and is currently receiving treatment.
Two family members who were rescued together are staying at a nearby temporary shelter.
The fire department dispatched 52 personnel and 15 pieces of equipment, fully extinguishing the blaze at 10:56 a.m., approximately 40 minutes after it broke out.
