Woman in Her 50s Arrested for Killing Mother in Her 70s During Chuseok Holiday in Ansan
A woman in her 50s was arrested by police for fatally stabbing her mother, who was in her 70s, during the Chuseok holiday.
The Ansan Sangnok Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 26 that they had arrested a woman in her 50s, identified as A, on charges of matricide after she killed her mother, who was in her 70s, around 1 a.m. that day.
A is accused of causing her mother's death by wielding a weapon at her in a multi-family dwelling in Sangnok District, Ansan. Immediately after committing the crime, she informed an acquaintance about what she had done. The acquaintance reported it to the police, and A was apprehended at the scene.
