Based on this partnership, both companies plan to support the stable development of domestic air-launched weapons and the integration and force build-up of the KF-21.
Earlier in February, the two companies signed an MOU for joint cooperation on key future projects aimed at strengthening the global competitiveness of K-Defense, as well as an MOU for cooperation on air-launched weapons projects. They agreed to work together on aircraft-weapon integration and joint marketing for exports.
The two companies are closely collaborating in the domestic aircraft development and production sector. Regarding the KF-21, the first domestically developed fighter jet for which system development was completed in June, Hanwha Aerospace supplies the aircraft engines, landing gear, and flight control systems, while Hanwha Systems is involved in the active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, electro-optical targeting equipment (EO-TGP and IRST), and mission computers (MC).
