SpaceX Expands into AI Infrastructure Supply
It has been predicted that SpaceX, an aerospace company, will benefit from the surge in AI demand as it expands beyond its space business into the artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure sector.
Jun-Kyu Park, a researcher at Samsung Securities, stated, "We consider SpaceX to be a representative beneficiary in the AI infrastructure demand cycle." According to Park, the major bottlenecks in the AI infrastructure cycle are power and construction speed. He explained that SpaceX best meets these requirements and is transforming into an AI infrastructure supplier by signing agreements to lease colossal computing power starting this year. He also pointed out that SpaceX is essentially the only company capable of reducing orbital computing costs through its fully reusable super-heavy-class launch vehicle, the Starship.
The company is also making steady progress in its core space business. The key variables for SpaceX are the completion of development and increased launch frequency of the Starship super-heavy launch vehicle. Park emphasized that it is positive that the development of the Starship has accelerated this year. SpaceX is also expanding production of the Starship to increase launch frequency, and ten additional launch pads are scheduled to be installed at the Louisiana Starbase for this purpose.
