Kiwoom Securities Introduces Cross-Trading System for Unlisted Stocks... Partners with Naver Pay
Kiwoom Securities is creating a more accessible environment for unlisted stock trading.
On September 22, Kiwoom Securities announced that it had signed a business agreement with Naver Pay Unlisted (Npay Unlisted), an unlisted stock trading platform, for the introduction of a cross-trading system for unlisted stocks.
Previously, Naver Pay Unlisted only allowed transactions between buyers and sellers who held accounts with the same securities firm. With the introduction of the cross-trading system, Kiwoom Securities customers will be able to freely trade on Naver Pay Unlisted using their existing accounts, without having to open a separate account.
Cross-trading enhances investor convenience. As customers from various securities firms gather on a single platform, the liquidity of the over-the-counter (OTC) stock market increases. This also facilitates a virtuous cycle of productive finance, allowing funds to flow more smoothly into ventures and startups.
Starting with this agreement, Kiwoom Securities plans to seamlessly integrate cross-trading infrastructure. The two companies will continue their collaboration to provide a simpler and more convenient investment environment for unlisted stocks in the future.
Lee Youngmin, CEO of Naver Pay Unlisted, stated, "By leveraging the expertise and capabilities of Kiwoom Securities, we will expand cooperation to institutionalize and vitalize the OTC market for unlisted stocks. We aim to contribute to creating a healthy investment environment for unlisted stocks by connecting investors with promising unlisted companies more effectively."
