LG Uplus to Develop Custom AX Solutions for Small Business Owners
Combining Commercial District Analysis and Product Sales Data
LG Uplus is set to develop custom AX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation) solutions tailored for small business owners.
On September 22, LG Uplus announced that it has signed a business agreement with 'Sodomall', a retail and wholesale distribution company, to provide AX support for small businesses and to strengthen their AI capabilities. Sodomall is an online and offline distribution platform supplying food and daily necessities at wholesale prices based on nationwide group purchasing stores and distribution data.
Through this business agreement, the two parties plan to collaborate on supporting small businesses with AX solutions such as in-store artificial intelligence (AI) and communication technologies to help them adapt to the spread of generative AI and changes in the online distribution environment. They will also work together on expanding sales channels for small business owners and discovering new business opportunities to revitalize local commercial districts.
In particular, LG Uplus intends to combine its own communication and AI infrastructure with Sodomall's online and offline distribution data to support customized demand forecasting for each type of business operator.
Specifically, LG Uplus aims to prove a solution that integrates its "Our Store Package"—a communications and AX solution designed for small business stores—offering commercial district analysis services, with Sodomall's data on regional product sales and group purchases. This solution is expected to identify and analyze product categories that are likely to experience increased demand in certain areas or during specific periods. As a result, small business owners will be able to secure products and plan logistics operations more efficiently, thereby boosting their product competitiveness.
The two companies also plan to work together to develop AX solutions that allow small business owners to utilize AI more easily and conveniently at their businesses. Leveraging LG Uplus’s AI and data-driven services to support customer engagement and optimize store operations, Sodomall will integrate this with its expertise in managing a distribution and group purchasing platform, helping small businesses adopt these solutions in real-world settings.
