Dongjak District Accelerates Redevelopment and Reconstruction... Launches "Task Force Team for Project Acceleration by District"
Intensive Management across Five Regions including Noryangjin and Heukseok
Customized Support for Each Project Site
On September 22, Dongjak District of Seoul, led by district mayor Ryu Samyeong, announced that it has launched and begun operating a "Task Force Team (TFT) for Project Acceleration by District" to support redevelopment, reconstruction, and other maintenance projects in each area. The team was formed on September 11, as a follow-up measure to Mayor Ryu Samyeong's first approved proposal, the "Plans to Promote Redevelopment and Reconstruction Projects."

In August, the district set up a "Maintenance Project Promotion Committee" under the direct supervision of the mayor to oversee decision-making for such projects, while a "Conflict Management Committee" to resolve disputes between residents and associations is scheduled to be launched in October. The TFT, which is responsible for practical operations, has now been added to these efforts.
The TFT is composed of officials from relevant district departments, project implementers (such as associations or promotion committees), and experts in various fields. Given the increasingly varied types and phases of projects, the district has differentiated the operational structure into "regional TFTs" and "project-specific customized TFTs."
The regional TFTs operate on a regular basis and are organized into six representative teams across five regions: Noryangjin, Heukseok, Sangdo, Sadang I, Sadang II, and Daebang·Sindebang. These teams monitor the progress of maintenance projects within their regions and continuously review issues and challenges at each stage. The project-specific customized TFTs are convened as needed for project sites requiring focused review, providing hands-on support for matters such as permit delays, conflicts between residents and associations, public contributions, and infrastructure consultations.
Both TFTs meet flexibly whenever an issue arises, and consultations are conducted either in writing or face-to-face, depending on the situation. When necessary, the district will further support projects by designating them as priority cases for the Maintenance Project Promotion Committee or by working in collaboration with the Conflict Management Committee.
