Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation to Host '2026 ONSO FESTIVAL'
Four-Day Multidisciplinary Cultural Festival Begins October 7
The Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation announced on September 22 that it will present the '2026 ONSO FESTIVAL' over four days, from October 7 to October 10, in collaboration with Ondream Society and across the Myeongdong area in Seoul.
This year’s festival, themed “We Are Connected at Our Own Pace,” will be organized as a multidisciplinary cultural event combining lectures, performances, exhibitions, and hands-on activities. The festival, previously centered around the knowledge events at Ondream Society, has expanded its venues to key locations in Myeongdong, including Myeongdong Cathedral and the courtyard in front of the Catholic Center, and the target audience has broadened from young people to all generations.

Speakers such as Professor Kim Youngmin of Seoul National University, author Lee Nakjun, and musician Yozoh will talk about the pace of their own lives.
On October 8 at 8:00 PM, the festival’s highlight performance, “ONSO Live,” will take place on the lawn next to Myeongdong Cathedral. Diverse artists—including The Classic, Jazzbee, and Far East Asia Tigers—will take the stage to offer a special evening connecting audiences through music.
There will also be a variety of citizen-participation programs. Ondream Society will host events such as Brothers Keeper’s gardening class, yoga sessions led by Yoga Boy, and a brunch art workshop with artist Kim Areum. In the courtyard in front of the Catholic Center, outdoor experiences will be available, including an intergenerational dance class, a mini sports festival for all ages, and caricature drawing sessions.
Additionally, there will be a “Myeongdong Heritage Exhibition” that re-examines the value of Myeongdong, where the historical footprints of Yun Seon-do and Lee Hoe-young remain, as well as the “Myeongdong Story Tour,” a walk through the streets of Myeongdong.
