DB Insurance Introduces Industry's First AI-Based ADAS Image Recognition Service
DB Insurance announced on September 21 that it has introduced, for the first time in the insurance industry, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) image automatic recognition service (ADAS AI Automation Service) developed with its own proprietary generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
DB Insurance has directly refined and internalized its AI models using in-house technological capabilities. The company has applied this technology to contract work involving discount riders for the ADAS AI Automation Service, such as Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Forward Collision Warning System (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision Warning System (BCA), Lane Departure Warning System (LKA), Head-Up Display (HUD), and Around View Monitor (AVM), thereby enhancing the quality of its services to the next level.
Previously, the process required sequential manual verification of customer-submitted ADAS image evidence, resulting in lengthy reading times and difficulties in deciphering low-quality images. With the introduction of this AI automation service, insurance contract processing has become faster and more accurate, strengthening the objectivity of the review. This innovation has significantly improved the accuracy of contract work and customer convenience, including reducing customers’ contract waiting times.
A representative from DB Insurance stated, “In the development process of the AI image automatic recognition system, we refined the model by repeatedly enhancing it through the learning of over 70,000 pieces of supporting image data, integrating our proprietary technological capabilities and a precise definition of work. We will continue to supplement our operational expertise with AI technology and provide more reliable insurance services by strengthening consumer protection.”
