NH Futures Recruiting 1st Cohort of "REST API Pioneer"
NH Futures announced on September 21st that it is recruiting participants for the first cohort of "NH Futures REST API Pioneer," a program for university and graduate students to conduct projects utilizing the NH Futures REST API and financial market data.
This program will run for eight weeks, from October 21st to December 11th, 2026. Participants will undertake weekly assignments and a final project on topics such as domestic and international futures and options, data analysis, investment strategies, order management, and risk management.
Eligible applicants include current or on-leave students at universities (undergraduate or graduate, both domestic and overseas), as well as those who have graduated within the past year. There are no restrictions on major, and programming background or development experience is not required. Students in diverse fields such as finance, economics, business, statistics, mathematics, computer science, and data analysis may apply. Teams should generally consist of two members, but individual applications are also accepted. After a document screening and interview process, around 10 teams will be selected.
The program is not simply a competition for returns, but rather comprehensively evaluates the logic of strategies, understanding of financial products, proficiency with the REST API, data analysis, and the overall project process. Additional points will be awarded to participants who identify API errors, bugs, or make suggestions for improvements to development documentation.
The main schedule includes a kickoff ceremony on October 21st, a mid-term event (Mid Review) on November 13th, and a final presentation on December 11th. These events will be conducted in person. Based on the cumulative final evaluation results, prizes of KRW 1 million for first place, KRW 500,000 for second place, and KRW 300,000 for third place will be awarded, for a total prize pool of KRW 1.8 million. Participants who meet completion requirements will receive a certificate of completion or an official confirmation document.
