Kolon FnC Boldist Sponsors Team Korea Uniforms for WorldSkills Competition
Uniforms and Training Suits Provided for All 56 National Team Members in 50 Skill Categories
Cooling and Quick-Dry Materials for Shanghai's Hot Weather
Design Features Modern Taegukgi Elements and Enhanced Safety Visibility
Kolon Industries FnC Division announced on September 21 that its workwear brand, Boldist, will sponsor the official uniforms for the South Korean national team participating in the 48th WorldSkills Competition, which opens in Shanghai, China on September 22.
This year's competition will feature approximately 1,400 participants from over 73 countries, competing in 50 skill categories such as Mechanical Engineering CAD, Car Body Repair, Robot System Integration, Interior Decoration, Furniture, and Landscaping. The South Korean team consists of 56 members.
Boldist will provide official uniforms and training suits to all 56 participants across all 50 skill categories at this event. At the 47th competition, held in Lyon, France in 2024, the brand sponsored training suits for eight athletes in eight disciplines. Following this experience, Boldist signed an official sponsorship agreement with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea in June, designating them as the official uniform supplier for the national team.
The team uniform set consists of four items: a jacket, a short-sleeved T-shirt, pants, and a hat. Given the hot weather in Shanghai in September, the jacket is made as a lightweight single layer, while the T-shirt utilizes moisture-wicking, quick-drying materials and stretch fabric for enhanced mobility.
The pants are made from 'FORPE' fabric, which provides a cooling effect, and 'CORDURA' fabric in areas prone to friction for increased durability. The hat features a 'Coolmax sweatband' to quickly absorb and dry sweat.
The design of the uniforms incorporates modern interpretations of the Geon, Gon, Gam, and Ri elements of the South Korean flag. For improved visibility in work environments, the uniforms use 3M silver reflective prints and retroreflective detailing, and are finished in Boldist's signature yellow and black colors.
