This year, a total of 18 outstanding students and 10 instructors participated, having been selected from automotive maintenance institutions in partnership with Hyundai Motor Company in eight Asian and European countries: Nepal, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Turkey, Poland, and Singapore.
From September 14 to 16, Hyundai Motor Company held a three-day training program at the Cheonan Global Learning Center, covering topics from the basic principles of electric vehicles to Hyundai’s latest technologies such as batteries, vehicle communication, charging systems, E-GMP, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
The program was designed to allow participants to handle actual components and equipment, enabling them to acquire maintenance skills more quickly and accurately.
For two days, from September 17 to 18, the group visited the Hyundai Steel Dangjin Plant, Hyundai Motor Company’s Asan Plant, the Goyang Hi-Tech Center, and the Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang. They observed the process of turning molten steel into finished vehicles, learned about vehicle maintenance, and experienced the brand firsthand.
The instructors who participated in this program plan to develop and deliver Hyundai Motor Company–specific curriculums at automotive maintenance training institutions in their home countries after returning. The students are expected to begin working at Hyundai Motor Company’s maintenance hubs in their respective countries, thereby contributing to enhanced quality of Hyundai’s maintenance services.
Bumseok Kang, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Service Business Division at Hyundai Motor Company, stated, “Nurturing outstanding global students into service professionals is directly linked to enhancing global customer trust in Hyundai Motor Company. We will continue to support the growth of future service professionals through global industry-academia partnerships.”
