The event began with a performance by a youth band, followed by stories about local life from young residents, a talk show, and a Q&A session.
Kim Beomjoong from Geochang Village Youth Farmers moderated the event, and games and conversation programs were held to allow participants to freely exchange their opinions.
In particular, by using "Local Story Cards," participants shared their experiences and thoughts about living in Geochang under topics such as "My Story," "Local Story," and "My Story with the Region."
Young people active in the area expressed their views on various issues, including their feelings during the settlement process, the cultural and leisure environment, and the availability of activity spaces for youths in Geochang.
A concrete suggestion was made to create a busking space where young people and local artists can perform freely, and which residents and tourists can also use.
In addition to the discussion program listening to the opinions of young people, a quiz program themed around Geochang apples was also held during the event.
Lee Hongki, Governor of Geochang County, stated, "It was an opportunity to directly hear the opinions of young people living in the region," and added, "We will continue to communicate and review the suggestions so they can be reflected in youth-related policies."
Whether the suggestions raised by young people at this talk concert will be developed into actual projects and policies will depend on the county's upcoming reviews and follow-up actions.
