Wildfire Breaks Out in Jangan-gu, Suwon... Fire Authorities Begin Containment Efforts
On September 20th, a wildfire broke out in a mountainous area in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, prompting fire authorities to begin firefighting operations.
According to the fire department, the fire occurred at around 11:56 a.m. that day in a mountain in Imok-dong, Jangan-gu, Suwon. Authorities responded to a witness report, deploying 13 vehicles and approximately 30 personnel to contain the blaze. As of now, there have been no reported casualties.
The city of Suwon sent out a disaster alert, urging nearby residents and hikers to exercise caution to prevent safety accidents.
