Hana Financial Group Holds 'Songpyeon Making' Volunteer Event with Employees and Families for Chuseok
Over 700 Happiness Boxes, Including Songpyeon, Delivered to Seniors in the Community
Hana Financial Group announced on the 20th that it held a "Making Songpyeon with Love" volunteer event for its employees in celebration of Chuseok, Korea's major traditional holiday.
The event, held the previous day at the Hana Financial Myeongdong Building in Jung-gu, Seoul, brought together about 100 members of the "Hana Sarang Volunteer Group," which consists of Hana Financial Group employees and their families. They prepared "Hangawi Happiness Boxes" and "Songpyeon with Love."

View original imageParticipants made three-colored songpyeon, filled with sesame seeds and made using traditional ingredients such as mugwort, gardenia, and glutinous rice. They also assembled happiness boxes containing traditional Korean sweets and daily necessities. In total, more than 700 boxes—including 100 boxes containing the handmade songpyeon—will be delivered to seniors across the country.
On September 18, 25 employees of Hana Life, a group affiliate, took part in a volunteer activity at the Yeonhui Senior Culture Center in Seohae-gu, Incheon, where they joined in making songpyeon and assembling happiness boxes.
