19 Projects Unveiled in Manufacturing and Power Protection
More Than 500 Ideas Discovered Over Five Years
LS Group has launched an internal recruitment initiative to explore innovative strategies for new businesses in the era of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Physical AI, while seeking to discover future growth drivers.
LS Group announced on the 20th that it held the 5th 'LS Future Day' on the 18th at LS Tower in Anyang under the theme of "AI into Business Impact (Beyond AI Exploration to Business Performance)."
First launched in 2022 with the appointment of Gu Ja-eun as Chairman of LS Group, LS Future Day is an event designed to share new business ideas, research and development (R&D) outcomes, and work innovation achievements at the group level. This year’s event was attended by more than 500 employees, including Chairman Gu, CEOs, Chief Operating Officers (COO), Chief Technology Officers (CTO), and Chief Digital Officers (CDO) from the holding company and affiliate companies. This year’s event focused on applying accumulated technological and innovative capabilities to actual business operations, aiming to enhance productivity, profitability, and deliver tangible value to customers.
During the achievement sharing program, 19 projects in new business, technology, and innovation—including "AI-Based Cable Manufacturing Meister" and "High-Reliability Power Protection Platform for AI Data Centers"—were presented. Notably, this year, presenters used AI coding to create minimum viable products (MVPs) of LS’s AI product and solution ideas, and produced videos illustrating customer experience scenarios using AI.
Employees selected for outstanding project cases were chosen as 'LS Futurists' and will have the opportunity next year to visit industrial cities in China, benchmarking local companies and examining the latest technology trends.

He added, "We need to dramatically increase productivity in both office and manufacturing sites, and integrate AI into our products and services to create new value that customers can truly experience."
During the afternoon ‘LS Future Forum,’ the theme of business applications of AI was explored through specialized sessions in leadership, business strategy, and financial strategy, as well as a plenary session on "The Future of Manufacturing in the Age of Physical AI." Experts such as Songyee Yoon, CEO of Principle Venture Partners (PVP); Seongro Yoon, Professor at Seoul National University; Janghyun Kim, Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG); and Seokjun Kwon, Professor at Sungkyunkwan University, served as speakers. They shared insights on developing talent in the AI era, strategies for AI application in industrial settings, financial work innovation, and implications for changes in the manufacturing environment.
LS Future Day, which began in 2022 with a focus on Tesla’s strategy and leadership, has since covered topics such as changes in the international order, the AI era, and a world realigned by power dynamics. It has served as a guide for the Group’s direction amid shifts in technology and business environments. Over the past five years, the event has uncovered more than 500 ideas related to batteries, next-generation power solutions, and AI in line with LS’s future vision, with continuous efforts underway to bring these ideas into actual business practice.
LS ELECTRIC launched products and services through the "Integrated Photovoltaic Power Service Platform" project, which was selected as an outstanding new business idea last year. In addition, seven tasks—including LS Mtron’s development of compact tractors customized for the North American market—are currently moving forward with commercialization procedures such as business model validation.
