Finetechnics and Euclidsoft Begin Development of AI Smart Lighting
Finetechnics will collaborate with Euclidsoft to develop artificial intelligence (AI) smart lighting.
According to Finetechnics on September 18, the company plans to develop smart lighting equipped with an AI edge module by integrating Euclidsoft’s AI technology, going beyond traditional lighting solutions.
An AI edge module is a hardware-software integrated device that enables AI computations directly at the data source, rather than relying on a central server or cloud. AI smart lighting equipped with this module is capable of detecting, in real time, the presence or absence of individuals or objects as well as their activity status within a space, and controlling the lighting accordingly. With AI not only sensing information but also being connected to lighting control, the lighting itself acts as a device that recognizes and responds to the environment within the space.
Notably, this technology can be applied to various environments such as parking lots, public facilities, disaster sites, and industrial settings, making it expandable as a next-generation spatial intelligence platform. In the smart infrastructure market, there is a growing adoption of services that utilize AI to detect the occupancy status of parking spaces in real time and guide vehicles to available spots, thereby controlling facilities based on on-site data. In addition, it can be used at disaster and accident sites to quickly identify the location of rescue workers and illuminate the area, supporting swift rescue operations.
