KOSPI Opens with Over 2% Gain... KOSDAQ Also Rises

Individual investors and foreigners recorded net sales of KRW 174.1 billion and KRW 16 billion, respectively. Institutional investors recorded a net purchase of KRW 111.2 billion.
By sector, electric and electronics (3.29%), manufacturing (2.66%), construction (1.77%), securities (1.13%), and machinery & equipment (1.05%) led the gains.
Looking at major stocks by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics rose 2.97%, SK hynix gained 4.53%, Samsung Electronics (preferred) climbed 2.22%, SK Square advanced 3.87%, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics was up 5.11%.
The KOSDAQ started trading at 832.72, up 10.54 points (1.28%) from the previous session.
Individuals and foreigners recorded net purchases of KRW 4.6 billion and KRW 1.3 billion, respectively. Institutions recorded a net sale of KRW 2.4 billion.
By sector, construction (2.59%), electric and electronics (2.10%), machinery & equipment (1.67%), textiles & apparel (1.24%), and transportation equipment & components (1.13%) all rose.
Among the top KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization, Alteogen fell 0.20% and EcoPro declined 0.24%, while EcoPro BM rose 2.24%, Jusung Engineering increased 2.21%, and Rainbow Robotics gained 2.22%.
