Busan Port Authority has launched personal information protection activities, directly inspecting information files and printouts remaining on employees' computers.
Busan Port Authority (BPA, CEO Song Sangkeun) announced on the 17th that starting from August, it has been running the "2026 Second Half Personal Information Protection Campaign" and has given awards to outstanding departments.
This campaign was organized to raise awareness and strengthen the management of personal information among employees. Key activities included the Clean Desk initiative for personal information, a quiz event on personal information protection, and the installation of screen savers.

View original imageDuring the Clean Desk activities, they inspected personal information files stored on PCs and printouts containing personal data. Employees' awareness was also enhanced through quizzes related to work and personal information protection. Screen savers with messages promoting the practice of personal information protection were installed as well.
On the first day of the campaign, CEO Song Sangkeun participated in person. Using dedicated software, he securely deleted personal information files saved on each employee's computer. Printouts containing personal data were directly disposed of using a document shredder.
Busan Port Authority selected and awarded the best-performing departments that actively participated in the campaign. This was done to encourage greater participation in personal information protection efforts among all employees.
