Foreign Student Job Fair at Youngjin College in Daegu... On-Site Interviews with Five Companies Including Taeyoung Industry
Youngjin College in Daegu, led by President Choi Jaeyoung, will host a job fair to support foreign students in finding employment within Korea and settling in the region.
On September 17, Youngjin College is holding the "Job Fair for the Regional Settlement of International Students" at its Bokhyeon Campus. The event is part of the "One-Stop Full-Cycle Support System for International Students," an initiative of the College’s Regional Innovation Project (Anchor Project Group). More than 200 international students from all departments and majors are expected to participate.
The event connects each step, from preparing international students for employment in Korea to corporate recruitment, and proceeds accordingly.
In the morning, Baek Seokhyeon, former head of the Changwon Immigration Office, will deliver a special lecture titled "A to Z of Preparing for Employment in Korea and Visas for Regional Settlement of International Students." He will provide practical information on employment procedures, changes in residency status for job-seeking and employment after graduation, and other key employment and visa details for foreign students.
The event will continue with a corporate recruitment briefing, introducing participating companies, available positions, eligibility requirements, working conditions, and the recruitment process. A Q&A session will also be held to address students’ questions.
At 4 p.m., on-site interviews will take place at the Meister Hall, with five local companies—Top Engineering, Woojin Plaimm, Dongbo, Taeyoung Industry, and Samgwang—participating.
Youngjin College stated, "Through this job fair, our focus is on directly connecting local companies seeking foreign talent with international students looking for employment and providing job opportunities that fit their majors and abilities. We also aim to link employment support and residency assistance so that students can settle in the region stably even after graduation. Going forward, we plan to continuously expand the cooperative system between local companies and universities for nurturing and hiring foreign talent."
