View original imageCurrently, Hyangnam-eup, Manse-gu, Hwaseong-si is rapidly promoting the extension of the Shinansan Line and direct connection projects for the Seohae Line and Gyeongbu High-Speed Line (KTX) in its efforts to become a transportation hub in the southwestern part of the Seoul metropolitan area. As these projects progress, a new era of railway transportation is expected, enabling direct access to Seoul's Yeouido and KTX operation.
The extension of the Shinansan Line to Hyangnam Station (planned) involves utilizing the existing Seohae Line tracks so that Shinansan Line trains can operate from Hwaseong International Theme Park Station (provisional name), via Hwaseong City Hall Station (provisional name), to Hyangnam Station. The project is targeting completion and opening in December 2028 (planned). Once the Shinansan Line is extended to Hyangnam, it will allow travel from Hyangnam Station to Yeouido in roughly 60 minutes.
At the same time, the project to connect the Seohae Line (Cheongbuk, Pyeongtaek-si) with the Gyeongbu High-Speed Line (Hyangnam, Hwaseong-si) is also moving ahead. When the two lines are connected, express trains will enable direct travel from Iksan in North Jeolla Province, through Gunsan and Hongseong in South Chungcheong Province, all the way to Yongsan in Seoul.
Amid these developments, a large-scale branded apartment complex that is set to benefit from the expanded railway network is attracting attention as it nears its launch. "Hwaseong Hyangnam Lotte Castle Signature," scheduled to be supplied by Lotte Engineering & Construction this October in Sangsinni, Hyangnam-eup, Manse-gu, Hwaseong-si, is the featured project.
Located within access to Hyangnam Station on the Seohae Line, the complex will see significant improvement in accessibility to Seoul’s southwestern region and Yeouido once the Shinansan Line extension (planned) is completed. Furthermore, with the connection of the Seohae Line and Gyeongbu High-Speed Line (KTX), residents will be able to travel quickly not only to Seoul Yongsan, but also to key cities such as Hongseong and Gunsan. In addition, smooth access to both the Seohaean Expressway and Pyeongtaek-Jecheon Expressway is secured via National Routes 39 and 82 and the Baran Interchange, creating a comprehensive multimodal transportation environment covering rail and road networks.
Hwaseong Hyangnam Lotte Castle Signature boasts not only favorable transportation prospects, but also robust self-sustaining features. Right in front of the complex is the Hyangnam Pharmaceutical Industrial Complex, with the Baran Industrial Complex nearby. In addition, several high-tech complexes such as H-Techno Valley (planned) where Samsung Electronics’ advanced smart logistics hub will be located, as well as Paltan and Jang-an Advanced Industrial Complexes, are clustered nearby, offering excellent proximity between workplaces and residences.
The project also stands out for its differentiated competitiveness that is expected to elevate the residential standards of the Hyangnam area. It ensures a pleasant living environment with a central square inside the complex, a 2.4 km circular walking trail, a forest campsite, and resort-level landscaping with five distinct views. In addition, rare community facilities for the Hyangnam area are planned, including an indoor swimming pool 25 meters in length with four lanes featuring both heated and children's pools, a fitness center, a golf driving range, streaming cinema, private guesthouse, duplex-type library, study rooms, kids’ cafe, and creative studio.
The complex consists of 17 buildings ranging from three basement levels to 29 floors above ground, accommodating a total of 1,542 units with dedicated areas from 84 to 120 square meters—covering both standard and medium-to-large floor plans. Notably, about 86.3% (1,331 units) are 84-square-meter type units, which are especially popular among genuine homebuyers, highlighting this unique feature.
As the development of advanced industrial complexes and the expansion of regional transportation networks accelerate the influx of young, high-income workers, the supply of new apartments meeting their housing expectations is expected to inject new vitality into the local real estate market.
