KB Kookmin Bank announced on September 17 that it has launched the 'KB AI' service, a generative AI-powered feature on the KB Star Banking app.
'KB AI' is a conversational financial service where customers can ask questions in everyday language and the AI will understand their intent and guide them to the necessary information or financial services.
The service applies an integrated natural language-based search function, analyzing the meaning and context of customer input and instantly retrieving relevant information from the KB Star Banking app menus, financial products, and FAQs. Unlike traditional keyword-based search, customers can easily access the information they need even if they do not know the exact menu name or specific financial terms.
It can also be used for actual financial transactions in a conversational manner. For example, when a customer enters requests such as "Show me last month's check card transaction history" or "Send 100,000 won to my son as allowance," the AI executes the corresponding services.
Additionally, features such as search, inquiry, and transfer are all integrated into a single screen, eliminating the need to select different chat windows by function. Customers can simply input their request without having to choose a specific AI function or switch screens.
Convenience for foreign customers has also been enhanced. The 'KB Star Banking Membership Registration' service is now available in the customer's preferred language, and the number of supported languages for the multilingual menu has been expanded from 11 to 16.
