The Publishing City Cultural Foundation and Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts will collaborate through an industry-academia partnership to ensure the successful hosting of the "Paju Fair Book & Culture" and the revitalization of local culture and arts.

View original imageThe Publishing City Cultural Foundation announced on the 16th that it signed a business agreement with Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts on the 15th at the international conference room of Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The signing ceremony was attended by Sungmin Kang, Chairman of the Publishing City Cultural Foundation; Dongseok Jang, Secretary General; Sanggyo Kim, President of Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts; Eunggu Kong, Head of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Group; and Hyukjae Choi, Director of the Knowledge-Based Industry-Academia Collaboration Center.
This agreement was arranged to jointly promote the "Paju Fair Book & Culture," which will be held from October 9th to 18th at the Asia Publication Cultural Information Center and various locations in Paju Book City, and to expand youth participation in the festival.
The two organizations plan to jointly organize a "Short-Form Video Contest" to introduce the festival from the perspective of Millennials & Gen Z, as well as a "Supporters" program to create content capturing scenes from the festival. There are also plans to integrate Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts students' video production capabilities into festival promotion and on-site content creation.
"Paju Fair Book & Culture" is a cultural and arts festival centered on books, featuring performances, exhibitions, a book market, lectures, workshops, international exchange programs, and youth cultural projects. The opening performance, to be held at 5 p.m. on October 9th, will feature musician Car, the Garden; writer Lee Seula; and singer Lee Chanhee.
Sanggyo Kim, President of Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts, said, "It is meaningful that the creative video production capabilities of our students can contribute to promoting 'Paju Fair Book & Culture,'" adding that the university will support both the short-form video contest and the supporters program at the institutional level.
