"Ed & Ryu: Twelve Seas" Wins Grand Prize at New Media Content Awards
"Azure Spring," "Red Shadow," and Others Win Excellence Awards
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency held the New Media Content Awards ceremony at the International Broadcast, Video and Media Market (BCWW) on September 14 at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Fifty-three works were reviewed based on artistic merit and popularity; one Grand Prize and five Excellence Awards were announced.

View original imageThe Grand Prize, awarded by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, went to the documentary "Ed & Ryu: Twelve Seas" by Studio Janchi. The Excellence Awards, presented by the President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, were given to the following: the mid- to full-length drama "Azure Spring (Oz Arena)," the single-episode and short-form drama "Red Shadow (Studio Dalgam)," the entertainment show "Betting on Fact (Next Key)," the educational program "Neighbors' Families (Korean Broadcasting System)," and the documentary "Cult Hunter (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation · KeyEast)."
Lezhin Entertainment and Memory Restoration Lab were honored with special awards in recognition of their contributions to the development of the industry ecosystem through the expansion of original intellectual property (IP) and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

After the awards ceremony, a talk concert was held to discuss video adaptation of original IPs and survival strategies in the new media market. Representatives of the award-winning companies participated as panelists and shared their content production methods.
