Aerospace Parts R&D Project with 18.5 Billion Won Investment Secures 95.7 Billion Won in New Contracts
Localization and Process Advancement of Boeing and Airbus Parts
Sales Expected to Reach 102.7 Billion KRW by 2032
Domestic aerospace parts companies have secured new orders worth 95.7 billion won through government-led research and development (R&D) projects. By advancing the manufacturing processes for components used in Boeing and Airbus aircraft, these contracts are projected to generate 102.7 billion won in sales by 2032.
The Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) held a performance sharing event for the "Aerospace Parts Process Advancement Technology Development" project in Jeju on September 16 and announced these interim results.

Currently, a total of 20 organizations, with six main contractors—Korean Air, Yool Gok, KP Aerospace, Kencoa Aerospace, SeWoo Aviation, and ANH Structure—are participating in the project. The initiative focuses on advancing manufacturing processes for components used in the Airbus A320 and A330, as well as the Boeing B737 and B787.
Domestic Production of Boeing 737 Wing Structures...95.7 Billion KRW Contract
The most significant achievement has come from Yool Gok, which secured the technology to locally produce Boeing 737 wing structures and signed new supply contracts, forecasting sales of 95.7 billion won by 2032.
ANH Structure has obtained additional certifications for aircraft cabin components through the project and expects to supply approximately 1 billion won worth of parts to the domestic market. The company also plans to secure further overseas certifications to expand into international sales.
KP Aerospace is projected to achieve 4 billion won in sales from aircraft wing structures, while SeWoo Aviation expects 2 billion won in sales from parts for military fixed-wing aircraft and light armed helicopters. Kencoa Aerospace is pursuing a contract to supply fuselage structures for cargo aircraft conversion.
The Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) plans to build on the manufacturing process technologies and contract achievements of this project to further advance self-reliance in materials and component technologies. To this end, it is preparing a large-scale R&D initiative named "Material and Component Technology Development Linked to Aerospace Systems."
