Finetek Releases Shareholder Letter: "All-Out Effort to Enhance Corporate Value"
Finetek has released a letter to shareholders regarding its designation as an 'administrative issue' stock, outlining plans to enhance corporate value.
In the shareholder letter dated September 16, Finetek stated, "Due to the recent strengthening of listing maintenance requirements and a rapid shift in market conditions—including the concentration of funds in certain sectors—the company’s accumulated technological capabilities and the intrinsic value of our business have not been fully reflected in our stock price," and added, "Rather than merely adapting to institutional and market changes, we will take this opportunity to turn current difficulties into a chance to reinforce our corporate fundamentals."
To escape administrative designation and raise corporate value, Finetek plans to pursue several initiatives: strengthening core business competitiveness, securing new engines for growth, improving its financial structure, restoring market trust, and enhancing communication with shareholders.
To begin with, Finetek will focus on reinforcing the competitiveness of its key businesses, such as display equipment. Recently, the company secured an order worth approximately 20 billion won for core OLED bonding equipment. In addition, its strategy is to further strengthen its business foundation by venturing into new equipment lines, developing robotics, acquiring new clients, and moving into overseas markets.
The company will also simultaneously address financial restructuring and compliance with listing requirements. Through actions such as selling non-operating assets and improving profitability via TFT activities, Finetek will make every effort to swiftly resolve the reasons for its administrative designation and promptly satisfy listing maintenance criteria. Finetek also plans to strengthen communication with the market and shareholders; it will use IR activities to provide ongoing updates on major business progress and financial improvement plans, ensuring more transparent communication so that shareholders can accurately assess the company’s present and future.
