Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation Sign MOU to Support Basic Arts Fields
The Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation announced on September 16, 2026, that they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture’s Daehakro Center on September 15. The agreement aims to support artists in classical music, literature, and other basic arts, as well as to promote Korea-ASEAN cultural and artistic exchanges.
This agreement was established to revitalize the basic arts ecosystem, including classical music, literature, and fine art, areas that have relatively less support and attention compared to commercial art. It also seeks to discover and sponsor next-generation artists, while expanding cultural and artistic exchanges between Korea and ASEAN countries.

Specifically, they will work to: ▲ broaden the cultural and artistic base through cooperative systems and network building ▲ identify and sponsor promising artists by coordinating their programs ▲ link Korea-ASEAN cultural and arts initiatives, such as international cultural exchange exhibitions and the Southeast Asian Literature Series.
Previously, in June, the two institutions collaborated in advance for the performance “2026 Winterreise in Summer,” which was hosted by the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation. They invited citizen audiences to the concert in conjunction with an arts sponsorship event held on the official social media channels of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture.
