The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Min-geun, Mayor of Ansan, Yoon Sunmi, Head of the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, and Kim Hoon, Head of the Ansan Branch of Korea Electric Power Corporation.
Banwol National Industrial Complex, which was completed in 1987, has faced repeated inconveniences such as continual excavation works within project sections due to separate infrastructure maintenance projects being carried out by each institution. With this agreement, the three parties plan to coordinate project schedules and construction sections to reduce overlapping excavations and minimize inconvenience for road users.
Ansan City will support various administrative procedures, including permits and approvals, in connection with the 'Beautiful Street Sanridan-gil Development Project.' The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation will utilize reinvestment funds from development profits to create a specialized street in the Byeolmang-ro area.
Korea Electric Power Corporation will replace outdated distribution facilities in the Byeolmang-ro and Sandan-ro areas and will establish an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) for real-time monitoring and control of the power grid.
The three organizations will form a working council to implement a pilot project for one year and then analyze the outcomes to consider whether to expand the scope of the project area.
