The PGA Tour Fall Series in the United States is about to begin. In order to secure a spot on next year’s regular tour, players must finish inside the top 100.
Although the PGA Tour officially concluded with the final round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the Tour Championship, on August 31, it is not yet over for many players. From September 18 for four days, the Biltmore Championship will take place at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove (par 71, 7,249 yards) in Asheville, North Carolina, with a total prize fund of 5 million dollars. This marks the first event of the FedEx Cup Fall Series. Players will once again compete for tour cards and eligibility for Signature Events next season.
The Fall Series consists of a total of eight tournaments, running through November. It is the last chance for players to secure their tour cards for the next season. Only those ranked inside the top 100 at the conclusion of the Fall Series will retain their playing privileges for the upcoming season. Players ranked from 101st to 125th will receive conditional status. Starting from the 2026 season, the PGA Tour’s threshold for full tour status has been strengthened from the top 125 to the top 100 in FedEx Cup points. As a result, the importance of the Fall Series has grown even more.

Among players ranked 51st to 60th in the FedEx Cup rankings after the Fall Series, those who have not already qualified will earn entry to the first two Signature Events of the following season. The Fall Series offers substantial benefits as well; a tournament victory awards 500 FedEx Cup points and a two-year exemption as a PGA Tour winner.
Among Korean players, Kim Siwoo, Tom Kim, and Im Sungjae already have their tour cards secured for next year. However, Seungyoul Noh has not secured his regular tour card and is currently ranked 187th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Seungyoul Noh will not compete in the first event of the Fall Series. Instead, he will participate in the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour, which takes place during the same period and has a total prize fund of 1.5 million dollars. This is the second round of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals. After four events—including the Korn Ferry Tour Championship with a total purse of 1.5 million dollars—the top 20 players will earn tour cards for next season on the regular PGA Tour.
