80-Something Man Arrested for Weapon Attack on Streets of Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul

An 80-something man has been arrested after wielding a weapon and injuring a man in his 70s on the streets of Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
Kang Young-hoon, the judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Northern District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Lee (82), who is suspected of attempted murder, after holding a pretrial detention hearing on September 15, citing concerns that he may flee.
He is accused of stabbing a man in his 70s with a weapon in the Jeonnong-dong area at around 8:20 p.m. on September 13.
The victim was transported to the hospital with stab wounds to multiple areas of his body but is reportedly not in life-threatening condition.
The two men reportedly started an argument at a nearby coffee shop before the altercation occurred at the crime scene.
