Siwoo Kim, ranked 13th in the world, will compete in the Genesis Championship, which has a total prize pool of 4 million dollars.
On September 16, the tournament organizers announced, "Siwoo Kim, who has been active on the PGA Tour in the United States this year, has confirmed his participation in the Genesis Championship." The event is co-hosted by the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour and the DP World Tour. It is the largest international professional tournament held in Korea. This year, it will take place from October 22 for four days at Woojeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.

This year, a total of 126 top players from home and abroad, including the top 36 players in the Genesis Points standings, will compete. The winner will receive 680,000 dollars, a Genesis vehicle, and a two-year exemption to play on both the KPGA Tour and DP World Tour from 2027 to 2028.
