Organized by the Dongducheon Rock Festival Committee, the event brought together emerging bands as well as some of Korea's top rock musicians, offering a musical festival that could be enjoyed by all generations.
On the first day, September 11, the finals of the National Rock Band Competition were held. Ten youth teams and twenty general teams selected from across the country competed for the title, with the US 8th Army rock band "DRAGON SOUND" and "Springs" delivering celebratory performances.
On September 12, the youth division winner "Buseureogi" and the general division winner "The Bluff" took the opening stage of the competition. They were followed by performances from Rock n Roll Radio, Broken Valentine, Ear Attack, Hong Kyungmin Band, and Crying Nut, with the legendary Korean rock band Boohwal closing the second day's show.
On the final day, September 13, the festivities were kicked off by the US 8th Army brass band "SPARTAN BRASS." This was followed by performances from Tequila Old Fashioned, LOW (Lee Owook Band), Bulgogi Disco, Maya, and Crackshot. For the finale, YB (Yoon Dohyun Band), Korea’s representative rock band, took to the stage and brought the festival's energy to its climax. After the performances, a fireworks display lit up the night sky, marking the end of the three-day musical journey.
The number of spectators was tallied at around 3,000 on the first day, 15,000 on the second day, and about 20,000 on the final day. At the festival’s food booths, regional specialties were offered at reasonable prices, garnering a positive response from attendees.
