This project is a follow-up to Hanwha Group's social contribution plan announced in August, with a total budget of 3 billion won, and specifically involves the execution of 1 billion won in support funds for vulnerable groups. The entire amount will be provided in the form of Gyeongnam local currency, which can be used at traditional markets and small business stores within the province.
The event was attended by Park Ilwoong, Deputy Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, Shin Jungwon, Head of Social Contribution Cooperation at Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, Shin Moonhyun, Director of the Gyeongnam Volunteer Center, and Hong Deokho, Executive Director of Win-Win Cooperation at Hanwha Aerospace.
Park Ilwoong, Deputy Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, said, “We are deeply grateful to Hanwha for making the meaningful decision to provide 1 billion won in support for the mutual prosperity of the local community. We hope that this project will serve as an opportunity to create a virtuous cycle that not only supports the livelihood stability and strengthens the social welfare sector for vulnerable groups struggling amid economic recession and rising prices, but also revitalizes local businesses and the regional economy through the use of local currency.”
