There are 13 routes and 237 vehicles among Seoul city buses related to Goyang City expected to suspend operations due to the strike. The city plans to maintain normal service for Gyeonggi-wide city and village buses passing through Goyang and to focus additional replacement bus deployments on alternative routes during commuting hours.
For key routes to Seoul—numbers 1000, M7731, 1200, 1500, and 1082—there will be a total of 11 additional departures during the morning commute. Route 999 will also be increased by 3 departures. Standby vehicles will be added for routes 7602 and 9700, with one reserved vehicle each, and two additional vehicles will be deployed for village bus routes 053 and 054, respectively.
To prepare for the possible discontinuation of Seoul bus 7726, a temporary route will operate between Deogeun District and DMC Station. Three public buses will depart from DMC Xi The Foret Riverview, stop at Deogeun District and Daedeok-dong Administrative Welfare Center, and continue to the central bus stop at DMC Station. Staff will be stationed at major stops to assist with boarding and route guidance.
The city also requested that both private and corporate taxi operators provide concentrated services connecting key subway stations during commuting hours.
Goyang City will operate its Emergency Transportation Countermeasures Headquarters, monitoring the real-time bus status and congestion at major stops. The city will also provide information on the strike situation and alternative transportation through road electronic displays and bus information terminals.
