[NC] NC Expands Collaboration with MS for Global Success of 'Aion 2'
Leveraging Both Companies' Technological Capabilities, Including Microsoft Azure Global Infrastructure
"Microsoft Is a Key Partner in Our Global Challenge"
NC announced on September 15 that it will strengthen its strategic collaboration with Microsoft Korea across all areas of technology, operations, and marketing to ensure the successful global launch of 'Aion 2'.
'Aion 2' is scheduled for global official release on October 5. NC plans to leverage the worldwide Microsoft Azure infrastructure to stably handle large-scale concurrent connections and regional traffic fluctuations after launch. Through this, the company aims to provide users with a seamless gaming experience and strengthen the global competitiveness of 'Aion 2'.
Microsoft will operate both its global technical organization and a dedicated team in Korea, supporting the entire process from pre-launch performance verification to post-launch incident response. Additionally, through joint marketing with Microsoft's Global Gaming division, the scope of collaboration will be gradually expanded to increase user engagement and touchpoints.
The collaboration between the two companies extends beyond game service to encompass NC's broader digital work environment. NC has adopted 'Microsoft 365 E5' companywide to establish a work environment that integrates security and collaboration, and is also reviewing the use of 'Microsoft 365 Copilot' to further enhance employee productivity.
Baek Seungwook, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of NC, commented, "With its global operational capabilities and technological expertise, Microsoft is our key partner in NC's most significant global challenge. Choosing Azure was not just an infrastructure decision but a strategic choice based on our trust in Microsoft." He added, "We are confident to prepare for the global launch of 'Aion 2' as one team with Microsoft, and starting with this collaboration, we will further elevate NC's global game competitiveness."
