EasyPage is a large-print book brand jointly developed by Kyobo Book Centre and publishers. To improve readability, the brand increases font size and adjusts line spacing and book dimensions compared to standard editions. It targets not only readers who experience visual fatigue from small print but also those who prefer a more comfortable reading experience overall.
According to Kyobo Book Centre’s analysis of purchase data from January 15 to August 31 of this year, EasyPage books were purchased more frequently by customers in their 40s and 50s compared to standard books, with female readers accounting for over 60% of buyers. Notably, 70% of all sales occurred offline at physical stores, which is 27 percentage points higher than the offline sales ratio of standard books at 43%. Kyobo Book Centre interpreted these figures as reflecting high consumer demand for directly comparing font size and book format with conventional editions in-store before making a purchase.
The third lineup features 11 titles spanning humanities, self-development, essays, fiction, history, and culture. Large-print editions now include works such as "Aquarium" by Yu Rae-hyeok, "Seneca, To You Who Are Having Today Taken Away" by Seneca, "Dopamination" by Anna Lembke, and "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi.
The lineup also comprises "Lee Oryeong's Last Lesson" by Kim Jisoo, "A Day’s Meditation with Monk Jeongmok" by Monk Jeongmok, "The Technique of Reading Fate" and "This Is How Fortunate People Do It" by Park Seongjun, "How to Protect Yourself in a Rude World" by Baltasar Gracián, "Inner Strength" by Jim Murphy, and "If You Are a Leader, Like King Jeongjo" by Kim Junhyeok. The third series of books will be released sequentially from September through October according to the publication schedule.
Kyobo Book Centre intends to launch a dedicated “Large Print Book” menu on its online site, and, offline, will operate exclusive displays and shelves at 28 major locations across the country, including Gwanghwamun, Gangnam, Jamsil, Daegu, and Busan branches.
