The KPGA Tour Golfzon Open is set to kick off.
On September 17, the tournament will take place at Golfzon County Sunsan (par 71) in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province. Now in its fifth year, the event offers a total prize pool of 1 billion won, with a winner’s purse of 200 million won. A field of 132 players will compete, including prominent KPGA Tour golfers such as long-hitter Jang Chanmin, Jang Yoobin, and Kim Hongtaek. The tournament organizing committee has prepared a variety of events for spectators at the golf course, adding to the excitement both inside and outside the venue.
A range of prize draws will be held for gallery members. If a hole-in-one on a car-designated hole occurs during the tournament, the corresponding prize draw will take place. Additional prizes such as washing machines, drivers, refrigerators, and putters will also be given away. There are special benefits for G Membership subscribers, including free admission to the tournament venue and differentiated draw coupons provided according to membership tier. A space will be operated for spectators to try out the Golfzon simulator themselves, where they can enjoy screen practice booths and dart event games.
There will also be an abundance of souvenirs and on-site events. Spectators who purchase paid tickets will receive bottled water, a commemorative tournament golf umbrella, and scratch-off lottery tickets. Those who win the scratch lottery can exchange their tickets on site for various prizes including cosmetics, camping chairs, backpacks, golf balls, shampoo, and golf gloves.
A food zone will be set up separately where visitors can enjoy a variety of menu options, including pizza, steak, snacks, beverages, and beer. Parasols will be installed to allow spectators to relax comfortably.
