Eastar Jet Launches Five New In-Flight Meal Options, Ranging from Spicy Pork to Chicken Breast Poke
Jjajangbap Now Served in Biodegradable Containers
New Snoopy Collaboration Character Merchandise Introduced
Eastar Jet announced a major overhaul of its in-flight food and beverage offerings, as well as paid sales products, to expand options for passengers and enhance the in-flight experience.
On September 15, Eastar Jet stated it will add five new in-flight meal options and expand the range of products available through its paid in-flight sales service, "Byeol Byeol Cafe."
The newly introduced pre-order in-flight meals include a variety of menu items that appeal to all demographics: spicy pork over rice, fried chicken, chicken breast poke bowl, and bulgogi ciabatta sandwich. The selection ranges from hearty Korean meals for passengers seeking a filling dish, to chicken, which is popular among both domestic and international passengers, to lighter options like poke bowls and ciabatta sandwiches. Pre-order in-flight meals can be reserved up to 72 hours prior to departure through the official Eastar Jet website and other designated channels.
For passengers who have not pre-ordered, a new option—black bean sauce rice (Jjajangbap)—is now available for direct purchase on board. This dish is served in an eco-friendly natural pulp container that decomposes naturally within 90 days, helping to reduce environmental impact during disposal. This menu item can be ordered on selected international flights.
The range of products available in the "Byeol Byeol Cafe," Eastar Jet's in-flight paid sales service, has also been expanded. Notably, the collaboration merchandise lineup with Peanuts, which has been well received by passengers, now includes a "3D airplane puzzle." In total, nine collaborative items—such as ballpoint pens and keychains—are now available for purchase on board.
