Taihan Cable is participating in the largest climate and energy event in Korea, showcasing its core future power infrastructure technologies such as submarine cables and high-voltage direct current (HVDC), as well as its turnkey project capabilities, on a large scale.
On September 15, Taihan Cable announced that it would participate in the '2026 Climate Industry International Expo', which will be held at BEXCO in Busan from tomorrow until the 18th. At this expo, Taihan Cable will operate a large-scale exhibition space with a total of 30 booths (270 square meters), under the theme 'From the West Sea to the World: Taihan Cable Connects New Energy Pathways', highlighting its market competitiveness with a focus on submarine cable turnkey solutions, HVDC solutions, and bus duct solutions.

View original imageThe exhibition hall places Taihan Cable's commitment and vision for participation in the government's 'West Coast Energy Expressway' Project at the forefront. Notably, the company will unveil a model of the 'Scandi Connector', Korea's largest cable-laying vessel (CLV) at 11,000 tons, for the first time. Exhibited together with the existing cable-laying vessel 'Phalos', the Scandi Connector is a key asset capable of handling not only internal and external grids for offshore wind power, but also long-distance grid interconnection and HVDC submarine cable installation. Alongside, the company will showcase its key products and track record, including internal grids for the Yeonggwang-Nakwol offshore wind power project, 525kV-class HVDC submarine cables, and dynamic submarine cables for floating offshore wind farms.
The company is also putting its strategy for advanced submarine cable production infrastructure at the forefront. In addition to its currently operating Plant 1, Taihan Cable will share its vision for Plant 2, which is under construction with the goal of commencing operations next year as a dedicated production hub for 640kV HVDC and 400kV HVAC submarine cables. In the bus duct sector, where the company has tripled its plant size, Taihan Cable will introduce its epoxy and PET insulation product lines with new facilities, demonstrating the results of its portfolio diversification. After attending the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman Song Jongmin is scheduled to discuss various business collaboration measures with major clients and stakeholders on site.
