KT Skylife Launches Total Care Service Covering Internet Security to TV Repairs
Three-Step Service: Prevention, Inspection, and Compensation
KT Skylife announced on September 15 that it has launched 'sky Internet Total Care', a service that manages all aspects of internet security threats, financial fraud, and even TV malfunctions or damages, all in one package.
This product, combined with internet service, offers a three-step process: prevention, inspection, and compensation. It automatically blocks harmful websites and malware, and allows customers to conduct self-inspections for phishing and hacking risks through websites and smartphone applications (apps). In the event of a security issue, a professional engineer provides one-on-one remote inspections and support.
In addition, parental controls via internet security prevent children from being exposed to harmful websites. If the subscriber, spouse, or children under the age of 19 suffer financial fraud losses such as voice phishing or hacking that qualify for compensation under the terms, up to 3 million won per year is reimbursed for each.
The protection scope has also been expanded to include TVs. Accidental damage—for example, when a child breaks the TV screen—or mechanical failure is covered with up to 500,000 won in repair costs per year. The product must have been manufactured within the past 10 years. With a deductible of 20,000 won, unlimited compensation within the annual coverage limit is available regardless of the number of claims per year.
This product is available for an additional 2,200 won per month to the existing sky Internet fee, and the same benefits are provided regardless of the type of internet plan.
