Monstar Shaft, Vongtaveelap's Premium Game Changer
This is the top scorer’s new weapon. Thailand's long hitter Natthakritta Vongtaveelap energized her game by equipping the Monstar shaft. On August 15 in Bangkok, Thailand, she passed the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) 2026 International Qualifying Tournament (IQT) as the top qualifier. With her victory, she secured a full KLPGA Tour card for next year as part of the winner’s benefits.
Vongtaveelap is an accomplished player, having finished runner-up at the 2023 Honda LPGA Thailand, an event on the US-based LPGA Tour. She has also impressed on the KLPGA Tour, tying for 29th at the 36th Korea Women’s Open hosted by DB Group in June 2022, and tying for 6th at the Rejuran Championship this March. She also participated in the BC Card·Hankyung KLPGA Championship on August 20.
Vongtaveelap is a power hitter capable of driving the ball 300 yards. She uses the TIRAMOO head and Monstar shaft. With these two products in her bag, she has also won on the China Ladies Professional Golf Association (CLPGA) Tour.
The Monstar shaft used by Vongtaveelap is a homegrown product manufactured in Korea. It is well known as a premium shaft that excels in both direction and distance. With its full titanium design, it is attracting attention abroad as well, earning the nickname “the Hermes of the shaft world.” Each shaft, produced at the company’s factory in Masan, Gyeongnam, is priced at over 1 million won.
While reducing the weight of the shaft, its strength and torque have been maintained, increasing club speed without sacrificing stability. Its performance has already been proven on tour. The Monstar shaft is expanding its presence in the global market. It was selected as one of the four shafts to watch by PCM, Japan’s leading fitting magazine. Demand is rapidly increasing in Korea, the United States, Japan, China, Vietnam, Australia, and more.
