The Visiting Garden Concert is a performance created to allow citizens to enjoy nature and cultural arts together close to their everyday surroundings. Following the first event held at the lawn plaza of Gwangmyeong City Hall in June, around 100 citizens attended the concert on this day.
The Gwangmyeong City Choir performed 10 songs spanning classics, Korean pop, and musicals, including "Brindisi (Libiamo ne' lieti calici)", "Ollehmak-gil", "Now Trust Only Me", "A Whole New World", and "Golden Star".
There was also a special saxophone performance, along with familiar tunes such as "It's Okay, Everything Will Be Fine", "Young Generation", and "Eternal Friend", which received enthusiastic responses from the audience. Citizens enjoyed the concert while taking walks and relaxing, with Anyangcheon and the garden as the backdrop.
Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong City, said, "I hope this was a time for citizens to experience leisure in everyday life with music amid an urban garden," and added, "We will prepare a variety of programs so that citizens can enjoy both nature and cultural arts nearby."
