Shin Sangyeol, Executive Vice President of Nongshim and eldest son of Chairman Shin Dongwon, has married an SK Telecom employee who is known to be the daughter of bestselling writer Moon Yooseok, a former judge.
On September 13, at 6 PM, Executive Vice President Shin held his wedding ceremony with Ms. Moon, who works at SK Telecom, at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. The bride is said to work in the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) department at SK Telecom.

View original imageThe ceremony took place using all three sections of the Dynasty Hall, a large venue that, according to the official website, can accommodate a minimum of 700 guests. The guest list included both families, friends, and notable figures from the business world, among them Shin Chunho’s younger brother Shin Junho—Chairman of Purmil, Suh Kyungbae—Chairman of Amorepacific Group, Shin Dongyun—Chairman of Yulchon Chemical, Shin Dongik—Vice Chairman of Mega Mart, Kim Dongkwan—Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group, Heo Chi-hong—Executive Director, Head of Strategy at GS Retail, and Koo Bonwook—CEO of LK, among others.
The bride's father, Moon Yooseok, was born in Seoul in 1969 and completed the 26th Judicial Research and Training Institute program in 1997 before being appointed as a judge at Seoul District Court. He subsequently served as a judge at the Seoul High Court and as presiding judge at Gwangju District Court, Incheon District Court, and Seoul Eastern District Court.
During his legal career, Moon published essay collections such as "A Judge's Lament" (2014) and "Declaration of an Individualist" (2015), becoming a bestselling author. His full-length courtroom novel, "Miss Hammurabi," released in 2016, was adapted into a JTBC Monday-Tuesday drama. He also participated as the creator of the Disney+ original series "Vigilante" (2023), and in December last year, he returned after four years as the writer for the tvN drama "Pro Bono."

Born in 1993, Executive Vice President Shin is the grandson of the late Nongshim founder, Shin Chunho. After working as an intern for two years starting in 2015, he graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 2019 and joined the management planning office the same year. He was later promoted to Executive Director, overseeing purchasing and future business, and was promoted to Senior Executive Director in November 2024; he became Executive Vice President in January this year.
In March, he was appointed as an inside director at the regular general meeting of shareholders, joining the board of directors. He is currently involved in discovering new businesses, developing global business strategies, and securing Nongshim’s future growth engines through investments and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
