Kakao Pay to Support Seoul Pay Plus Payments: "First Among Simple Payment Services"
Kakao Pay Payments Now Accepted at 270,000 Merchants
Expanding Payment Options Following Samsung Pay and Zero Pay
On September 14, Kakao Pay announced that, for the first time among domestic simple payment services, it will support Seoul Pay Plus payments.
Following Samsung Pay and Zero Pay, users will now be able to make payments via Kakao Pay at merchants that accept Seoul Pay Plus.
Even if a location is not a Kakao Pay-affiliated merchant, customers can now make payments via Kakao Pay at stores equipped with a Seoul Pay Plus QR code.
To do so, simply select the 'QR Scan' option in the payment tab of the Kakao Pay app or in the payment menu accessed through the 'More' tab on KakaoTalk.
Kakao Pay will provide Kakao Pay Point rewards to users who make payments using Seoul Pay Plus.
Points can be earned up to four times per payment transaction, with a maximum monthly limit of 30,000 points.
