Received Highest Rating for Three Consecutive Years
On September 14, SK Biopharmaceuticals announced that it had received the highest ‘AAA’ rating for the third consecutive year in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) evaluation conducted by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI).
This marks the first time a Korean pharmaceutical company has achieved an AAA rating for three consecutive years.
The MSCI ESG assessment is a leading global framework that evaluates and compares the capabilities of companies in managing key environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G) risks and opportunities to those of peers in the same industry worldwide.
In this latest assessment, MSCI evaluated SK Biopharmaceuticals as being among the global top tier in major areas, including corporate behavior, human capital development, and product quality and safety. According to the company, its compliance system and ethical management, encompassing transparency in accounting and taxation, were highly rated in the corporate behavior category, while programs for employee competency development and initiatives to foster a great workplace culture received strong assessments in human capital development. MSCI also recognized the company’s ability to effectively manage product quality and safety risks through global standard certification systems, awarding high marks in the area of product quality and safety.
SK Biopharmaceuticals plans to continue creating significant ESG outcomes by expanding its social value based on the development of innovative new drugs and the growth of its global business.
