CJ Logistics has partnered with the Community Chest of Korea and the Miral Welfare Foundation to help disabled small business owners strengthen their eco-friendly logistics competitiveness.
On September 14, CJ Logistics announced that it is recruiting 22 companies to participate in the 4th round of the 'Green Delivery Plus' program, providing practical support for logistics expenses and packaging materials.
Now in its fourth year, Green Delivery Plus is a mutually beneficial program aimed at reducing logistics costs for small businesses and promoting eco-friendly logistics practices. For the 4th cohort, the program has been revamped with a customized support system to help disabled small business owners who face barriers in logistics operations establish greater independence.
Eligible companies are those whose representative is disabled, or where disabled workers comprise at least 30% of the workforce. Companies with high logistics dependency, such as those frequently shipping parcels and using a large amount of packaging materials, will be selected through a review process, with a total of 22 companies chosen. Selected businesses will receive courier expenses support of up to 1 million won. In addition, they will be provided with an eco-friendly packaging material set worth 400,000 won, which includes one-touch cardboard boxes, paper tape, and honeycomb-shaped cushioning material, free of charge.
An offline practical training session will also be held to share knowledge on logistics operations and eco-friendly packaging technologies. The training, scheduled for October, will cover topics such as tape-style shipping labels, the use of eco-friendly film and corrugated cardboard, and the latest trends in the logistics industry.
Companies wishing to participate can apply from today until September 30 through the official Miral Welfare Foundation website, by scanning the QR code on the program’s recruitment poster, or by using the online application form.
